Colorblind - Counting Crows (cover)
Colorblind - Counting Crows (cover) Video Clips. Duration : 3.48 Mins.
This is 'Colorblind' by the Counting Crows. I'm Canadian so I'd spell it Colourblind :P This is the amazing song played in the incredible movie, Cruel Intensions. This isn't the greatest... I don't think I'll ever use this again for recording sound, it sounds very muffled. I'll stick to what I usually recorded with, so sorry about the higher notes, the whole sound breaks and it's just not good. I'll re-record it when I get my camera back, but for now, here's this! Hope it's still decent!

Experience Color Blindness : DigInfo
Experience Color Blindness : DigInfo Video Clips. Duration : 1.50 Mins.
DigInfo - movie.diginfo.tv With color blindness affecting 2% of females and 8% of males, The world's first filter to imitate color vision deficiency, Variantor is based on the universal design concept, "understanding people's positions." Variantor helps people with normal color vision to understand which color combinations are confusing for those who are color-blind. In order to develop the color universal design concept it's important to realize how color is seen by everyone . This tool was designed to help people experience how the world would look like to those with varying degrees of color-blindness. In Japan, even everyday objects -- textbooks and direction boards for example -- use different color combinations to show information. Having similar shades of color to describe or delineate information could be confusing for the percentage of the Japanese population who are color deficient.

The Island of the Colour-blind Overview
A study of the residents of the South Pacific atoll of Pingelap. This investigates the causes and effects of the high incidence of colour blindness amongst the population. The Island of the Colour-blind Specifications
In his books An Anthropologist on Mars and The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Oliver Sacks details the lives of patients isolated by neurological disorders, shedding light on our common humanity and the ways in which we perceive the world around us. Now he looks at the effects of physical isolation in The Island of the Colorblind. On this journey, he carried with him the intellectual curiousity, kind understanding, and unique vision he has so consistently demonstrated.Drawn to the Micronesian island of Pingelap by reports of a community of people born totally colorblind, Dr. Sacks set up a clinic in a one-room dispensary. There he listened to patients describe their colorless world in terms rich with pattern and tone, luminance and shadow. Then, in Guam, he investigated a puzzling neurodegenerative paralysis, making housecalls amid crowing cockerels, cycad jungles, and the remains of a colonial culture. The experience affords Sacks an opportunity to elaborate on such personal passions as botany and history and to explore the meaning of islands, the dissemination of species, the birth of disease, and the nature of deep geologic time.
